is it just me or is every1 getting into poker?

me and all my mates have played many poker games recently in which my tournament winnings are +3 dollas

ive won a few lost a few so im up 3 bucks. one mate is down 30+ bucks

but i think its taking over any1 else starting it?

nah i think ur mates r just budding addicts. give em a few years and theyll be floggin stuff from ur house to pay for their vice.

yeah we have just started playing too. we now play every week (9 or 10 of us) chipping in 10 bucks each. winner takes all. its a good night with pizza and drinks

if ur not going to toss around get $300 and go play at jupiters on the goldcoast. texas hold em everyday from 12pm.

its fun and you play against guys that have the dollars so if your good yout ake their money and watch them get pissed off...

Man, i moved to Canada and poker is HUGE over here all because of the hockey strike! We play way too much now, although I wouldnt say that we are irresponsible. Most ive ever lost is $40.
Canadians and yanks love it... We should have a realsurf poker night! Id fly back to Aussie for it!

I have been playing Party Poker online. Not real money but I am well ahead at the moment. I reckon if I used real money that I would start losing big time. A bit hard to read people when you play online and bluffing just doesn't work.

lost 5 bucks last week.. spewin... i dont have a job so im already low on cash

won 10 bucks 2 nights ago.. stoked!! only income

just that small amount of money makes the game that much more serious

Me and my mates started playing like 6-9 months ago.... prob once or twice a month for a while, ten dollars in, 2nd place gets money back... 1st gets the rest!

Im just stoked cause i have won the last 4 or 5 games out of like 6!!!
It is everywhere now though which makes it a bit annoying... but i love it and a tenner lost or won here or there makes it much more interesting!!!

im now up 11 bucks after all the games ive played highest of which is 5 bucks in each. i dominated yesterday after a surf went back and with about half the chips of the person i was left against in final 2 i bluffed with 2 5's the other dude called my bluff but he only had king high haha good money. i love it. sucks to come so close and loose tho but i feel sorry for 1st person out 2 people went all in 1st hand 1 person came out very pissed off

i won big time in our first 3 games and havent come close since (probly 5 games)...
unless your a super tightass your not going to win many games... and gambling is mostly luck anyway.
i am still ahead ... !!!

I disagree, im not a super tightass and my mates are quite good but i come out on top by being patient and picking the moment. also if you play with good mates you can start to guess thier tells. Dont go in on every hand... the msot i won in one game is about 50 bucks and i have done that about 4 times in the last 6 major games!!

My best hand we had 4 people go in.... myself and two others put one person all in... we then had a side pot which put another person all in, and then i managed to overbet the final person with chips into going all in... i won and thus subsequently knocked out 3 people in one HAND!!!
Ahhhhhh memories!!!
