Big low will provide solid swell for SA and Victoria....but NSW won't see much of it.

In the late 1980s Sydney got many 10ft + swell at this time of year, always on Christmas day hanging around until new years. I lidded many times Avoca Point or Terrigal Haven maxed out. It was like the whole horizon coming at you. Even at Foresters Lefts 10 - 15 ft swells just roaming through....... arrrh those were the days
Its possible at any year though.

Just pray for a cyclone. Nothing like a big north swell to light up Sydney's beaches.
Sadly no sign of one yet, always hope for NYE.
Cheers

What about QLD?? I'm flying up tonight. Does this mean I should pack my gun? (surfboard gun that is).
