yes, yes there will be a new swell, and it should be a lot of fun for NSW surfers.

It's not going to last for very long though, so I'd pencil in late Fri or Sat if you live in Sydney.

Just like the weather report on the news, you cant trust a surf report.

So many times it is supposed to be pumping, you get out there and there is 1 foot slop.

I hope there is something rideable out there on the weekend!

2 weeks off on holidays too! Want to surf as much as possible.

I'll go with the swellnet forecast........some swell but probably not a lot of quality around. Maybe some early morning action at a few spots but nothing approachng what we have had recently. S/SE winds aren't exactly the direction of choice for Sydney.

The further north you're located (in NSW), the better you'll probably do, as these locations will allow the wavelength to draw out a little more. Sun AM appears to be the pick, but this swell is unlikely to be a patch on what we've seen over the last few months in NSW.

Next week is a completely different story though. Very interesting outlook, with a possible low just off the Qld coastline. Again, while this doesn't always promise great surf for NSW, it certainly makes for an interesting forecast period! Having said that, if I had holidays planned for later next week (Tues onwards, thru to the weekend), I'd be thinking about a trip to Qld..

I'm heading up to QLD for the two weeks after that...
You reckon you can forecast us a good swell for then Ben?

My local will be the only spot within at least a 20-50km radius that will be any good... but the main problem is that everyone else knows that, so it will be packed out... I might take my chances in the wind....

I reckon the size will increase but wind will turn it into a washing machine. It's appliance days - from kitchen to laundry - from microwave to washing machine again
