I surfed Bells just after Fanning/Parko Final in 2013? 12?

It was ten foot and I'd had a couple of beers.

I got a big set wave at the end and ended up in the shorebreak just before the button.

Fcuking mauled me for about 5 or 6 waves.

It's no joke in there.

Yep, there’s a memorial plate there for a reason.

Today was victory at sea stuff, tomorrow will see quality waves and surfing - JJF would be my favorite

I am absolutely enjoying the hell out of this day at Bells with the overlapping heats.
Really? You don’t think, entertainment-wise, it’s a bit...um... abysmal? Without jjf this would be thoroughly unwatchable
I think you should give up on professional surfing god save. Your heart's not in it.

You're a sort of Welsh Bobby Martinez.

That’s the forecast. Should be pretty nice.

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

I firmly stand by my comment that without JJF (and, OK, Medina too) this so-called day of days would have been reduced to a freak show, notable only for the apparent inability of the professionals either to plan for or to surf in a scoreable fashion waves that were outside of their comfort zones and for the admittedly rather delicious schadenfreude of watching them get repeatedly pasted. Most of the surfing was simply awful

And what’s up with you steve? Suspended all your critical faculties now you’re writing for the kindergarten? Imagine a non surfer trying to make some sense of this. They’d switch off in bemused disgust after 2 minutes

Yep, it was great fun watching though! I reckon they should have more comps in big shitty conditions
