Keramas event

Post by buddy » Sun May 27, 2018 10:41 am

Looks pretty wonky Keramas.
Has the wave actually changed considerably or just a wonky swell?

Wonky, a couple of swell trains apparently. Should be less wonky tomorrow when the other swell disappears.

Oney keeps flicking out when there's plenty of points to be scored from an end section manoeuvre.

the land owner beside keramas has diverted the rivermouth. keramas on a good swell breaks as two peaks now – thanks to the sand redistribution – rather one freight train right. it also used to hold solid 10 foot and look like backdoor when it's that big. now, it's a wash through 6 foot and over.

Sad news.
Parko mentioned it briefly in his interview too.
I'll hold my judgement until we see proper good conditions, but it doesn't look world class anymore.
I haven't been there in over 10 years.

It’s looking like a poor version of Curl Curl right now.

It looked good this morning. I've been a couple of times. At 6ft plus it can get tricky for an old spaz like me, but the crowd thins. Yes there can be two waves there sometimes.

Early tomorrow could be really good. Surprise, good waves before 11am in Indo.

The swell has been solid and consistent all morning. I had one of those days where I just could not time it right to get out. Three attempts over an hour, all failures, endless paddling. Time to try again, this time on a low tide... death or glory!

Unfortunately I leave on Tuesday. I think I would have enjoyed watching how some of the pros handle the various breaks and their behaviour with crowds. Rob Machado has always been great whenever I've seen him, gets his waves but never hassles.
