Where is the surf at!?

Not in BC; it's prolly been the worst swell season I can remember up this way... At least there's often decent surf when you're freezing... not so much this year... Good thing I'm skiing

:-? I was just looking at Wannasurf to answer a few questions I had about surf near Nambucca Heads. So I checked their ratings generally for the mid north coast. According to their star rating there is only one four star surf break between Port Stephens and Coffs.
Back Jimmy's.

I can answer the question for you. The surf around Nambucca Heads is mostly very ordinary. However the rivermouth / outer bar catches a far wack of south swell or any available swell. Long punchy walls. Sharky and spooky. A Mission paddle out and in.

That sounds about right.
4stars is world class and 3 regional classic from memory?

Sure a number of them on their day would be in the 4-star category but I think to be world class it needs to be consistently great.

Yeah but wannasurf isn’t worth paying much attention to. The editors are just general public. And much of it seems to be written by 11 year olds.

I like the 5-star made up breaks though.
There were some all time tard fights in the comments too.

I haven't looked at it in a decade at a guess.

Yeah, I rarely check it out. The four star one seemed made up. Goes up to five though. All the major ones were three and a half.
