Would M. Wright beat JJF in those conditions as easily as he did ?
And, is it too hard to notice that second wave is always the better of the set ?
Asking for a friend...

Well M Wright is the favourite right now, along with Parko and Filipe. They're the only interesting surfers in this contest.

Oh christ the Telestrator. It's a graphic thing they use over the footage. It's supposed to show you what they're doing but instead it totally distracts the eye. It uses arrows and circles and shit, it's hilarious.

mikey wright's surfing is fresh! this kind of wild and woolly surf is fun to watch. i love seeing the kids jump off the rocks into the paddle-out channel. looks like a fairground down there. joel's up against griffin in 20 minutes. let's hope they both get pitted!

Jesus ratfcuking Christ, they're still in round 3?!

This is going to take longer than cosmetic dental work on the WSL judging panel.

Griffin Colapinto has a gangly frame and a fabulous name. If he doesn't make it as a professional surfer he might try show business, why not, maybe a magic act. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, here in Las Vegas to dazzle, delight and mystify you tonight and tonight only, the Great, the Gymnastic, the One and Only, Conjurer, Clairvoyant, Worker of Wonders: Grif-fin Co-la-pin-toooooo!!!"

i know right... it's just too damn long. too many competitors, not enough competitiveness. the women's is they way to go. every heat is cutthroat and every heat emanates this.

i was talking to Kelly and he says 32 competitors and no non-elim rounds so a comp can be run in two days. while it's an improvement, it's still not savage. we, the people, need savage.

I thought they ditched the round 4 non elimination heats?
But it says the upcoming heats are three man.
Or Is it for 2019?

Pete Mel just said, I see.
Why not just keep it at 2 man?

Jordy’s just paddled for 10 minutes straight and pretty much stayed in the same spot.

it would add another 2 heats to to the 4th round. they need to reduce the heats. not add to them?

Then 12 competitors, would become 6, would become 3....Hang on, what do we do now?
