Looking crappy at the moment. Flores to win with a heat total of 6.33. Tide destroys that place.

Need to give them more room to roam.

I used to really dislike Jeremy Flores. He seemed like an obnoxious little turd. But I actually like his honesty these days. He's kinda the last of the non-robotic pros.

He's nice when he wins anyway.

Ha ha true.

But I don't mind a bit of a blow up as well I must admit. Shows they're human.

On balance, I reckon France is the best of all the tour stops. Modern pros are too good for waves like snapper and bells and j-bay to be anything but a predictable snoozefest for the spectator and, while you can't deny the grandeur of tahiti or fiji or hawaii, once you've marvelled at the courage there's not too much in the way of variety to hold the attention. France, on the other hand, regularly serves up a genuine and thorough examination of competence and cojones and can be won by airs, turns, barrels or a mix of all three. The year that John John won it, for example, was simply awesome. He made the rest of them look as pathetic as loofy's jaffa mate, and that's what you want from your champ

From the heats I’ve watched I have to agree. I’d rather watch them wrap their heads around the more uneven conditions of French beachies and see how they respond, than watch the rinse and repeat attacks on point surf.

It would be better if there was more good waves. Whole lotta nothing happening for most of it.
Pumping pipe/backdoor is my favourite. Jbay in this years conditions is pretty hard to beat though.

France is good for a heat or two, then the tide changes and everything turns to shit.

Correct Duck. I reckon if Jordy loses this heat he loses the title.

Fat sections, and shifting peaks make it more relatable than flawless superbank.

Totally. Some of those waves do a fair impression of wonky groundswell maroubra surf

Those vids make it look like it could be one of god knows how many east coast beachies in a decent swell. I'd like them to show a reel of guys missing waves that suddenly fatten up, then turn around cop the set on the head haha. Or paddle 50m north, only to watch a good one roll through right where they were 3 minutes ago. Or the frustration of picking what looks like a good one, that has a sweet take off, then just dies.

The "everyday" event lol

Yeah. Neither is taking a bucketful of coke before the Pipe Masters and having a stroke but blaming it on a duck dive. The day that it happened Owen didn’t even paddle out.
