That doesn't tell us what changes they are making to the competition format at the regular tour stops, but otherwise it all seems to be pretty good ideas.

Given they are suggesting the season starts in Hawaii in Feb and ends in September somewhere, where does that leave the Pipe Masters as a tour event? Interesting that it wasn't mentioned.
Can understand condensing the QS calendar, but how do all the aspiring youngsters get a foot in the door if they get rid of the events rated below 10000 and 6000? A qualifying series for the QS?

Won't somebody think of the poor struggling youngsters!? How will little keanu-braiiden make it big now?
we are the angry mob
We read the papers everyday
We like who we like, we hate who we hate
But we're also easily swayed

I know my question was ripe for sarcasm but in all seriousness, sounds like every QS event would turn into an invitational event with competitors cherry picked by sponsors or the WSL themselves. If sceptics think that champions are handpicked now, wait til we see what happens here.
