just a sort of fact of life, maybe that's why I've been allowed to sit out the back so much by myself waiting for bombs. Fcuk I am stupid really.
Brother, men like you and me don't let the fear of sharks stop us, the ocean has us in it's clutches. It's what we do.
I guess it's because we don't menstruate eh loofy. We retain our precious bodily fluids.
I try and get rid of my precious bodily fluid at every desirable opportunity

Well we obviously met people with vastly different opinions.

What were your opinions of Jo'burg?
yeah you met the workers and I met the surfers. Nicks making me itch to go back actually, most of the crew I hung out with are still there, be nice to see them.

I never really hung out in joburg. Scary place with no surf. Last time I went I thought the black crew were doing a good job of running the place, but that was just the airport and a motel we stayed at overnight.
I've stayed a fair bit in Durban, Cape Town and Umtata, that's a wild place.

Nothing so exciting. Commercial role with a consultancy company. Company drinks in a compound.

But I hitched through Africa back in the day, bar Swaziland I felt SA a unique country on the continent. I take your point though as I met a few more levelled headed SA's who were up for the change but most were crazy out of their mind with fear.

In Israel I spent three months with about 10 South Africans just as apartheid was breaking down and the talk was "I'm going home and taking up arms" But I need to note two of the guys we're ex police and had done tours of Angola. Hard nuts in the extreme.

I'm sort of friendly with a few in Sydney and they carry on a bit like guilty exiles, but fk me the racial stuff that comes out is eye watering.

Would love to chime in with the politics, but NC is frothing hard, real hard and it's making my heart soar.

Check the vids from this so far epic contest, and then try to imagine a contest in the GOAT's wave pool.

I'd last five minutes I reckon.
