Ps I tend to go to Maldives early in season. Boats at sultans and honkys are out of control at peak season (around now)

isn't it highly likely that early season you'll be surfing 2-3ft surf 90% of the time.

You'd hand over that much coin to surf waves like that?
Aren't they waves you save for when you are 65+ and you can't get up very quickly anymore and need soft, deep reefs and warm water?

More 3-4 foot. But yes and yes. Uncrowded. And there are other factors I won't go into here

BA, mate of mine Jenny Boggis is running womens surf trips to Fiji.
Looks pretty OK to awesome for less than expert surfers. The feedback was positive.

Would be easy for you to organise trips to Frigates or Cloudbreak if you wanted to up the excitement level. No israelis, good beer, kava, great fishing and no chance of long jail time if you get caught on the end of a joint.

Thanks Steve. I'll look into that. Definitely been part of the thought process. Went there for my honeymoon (first wife lol) but it was off-season for surf. Beautiful place and people. I'll be looking at July 2018 so should have waves then.

Not really sure I'd want to do time in a Fiji jail.

I just think people give up on themselves too quickly.
There's no excuse for anyone not on an israeli passport who is under the age of 50 to be seen dead surfing the Maldives.

I went in July BA. Think that's when the Maldives is at its biggest, generally. Had three or four 6ft (iggy) days. Plenty of snapped boards, mostly israeli

Thanks godsave. Think I'm gonna give it a miss. The crowds concern me. Thinking Fiji or PNG.

Oh Sunbird, I'm only poking pleasant fun old chap.

It was really meant for old Gobble Guts Loofy who would feel his manliness threatened and rise to take the bait........which he did on cue, just like an old fat carp with a tumour on it's eye that can't swim very well or see clearly.
