Looks like a good idea to keep the sun off the back of the neck, scalp and ears.
There was a guy wearing one out at Ulus when I was there last time but I didn't get a chance to ask him about it.
Googled it but can only find a company in Byron, but their website is up the shit.
Anyone got one, or know anything?

Re: Hooded rashies
Spearfishing shop would be your best bet MM. Most of the surfing ones will be either polypro with a neoprene hood or all neoprene so probably too warm
Aropec seems to do a hooded lycra one http://www.aropec.com/en/product/Lycra- ... Lycra.html

Thanks GSTQ. Defo don't want Neoprene, this is only for Indo.
O'Neill do one.
Just need to find one in a shop to have a good look at it.

Oh yeah. Wearing a hood is pretty shit mind you. I do so during the winter and I find it messes with my peripheral vision a fair bit and the peak's a bit of a pain in the arse as well. Still, better than feeling like your head's gonna explode (or sizzle) I suppose

Re: Hooded rashies
I've got a triple X one, made here in Ballina.
works as intended, though the hood can be a pain in the arse duckdiving. Flip it back if caught inside or tuberiding.
saves the head and neck getting fried a treat.

Give Don a call, he's a great bloke.
Hi Godsave, getting any go-outs?

Hi Steve, yeah managing to stay moderately moist. It's lightening up a bit in the mornings now so the early is back on the cards. Wednesday and Thursday should be ok in fact

Re: Hooded rashies
water's only just under 10 degrees so it's spot-dependent at the moment. yesterday morning, smallish, dry hair paddle, warm WSW wind I didn't bother. weds and thurs pre-first light, minus one with a cold NE wind I probably will.
