All a shark knows is, if it's moving, it's alive and therefore probably a meal. I doubt if the size or shape matters much. They'll eat anything from a dead (gulp) Mullet to a Whale.

Nah. F***n sharks are dumb prehistoric fish and will basically eat anything given evidence of the shit that can turn up in there stomach contents. Our closer mammalian friends such as killer whales have a reputation for only eating parts of southern right and humpback tongues as the delicacies. Or so the story goes with Eden's famous KW Old Tom who helped round up whales for the only land based whaling operation known. His paycheck was in whale tongues. Fortunately KW's don't appear to have the same indiscriminate appetite for anything that is in or upon the sea as sharks seem to do.There is some strong evidence that KW's don't mind doing a bit of culling of the occasional GWS they come across as they recognise them as dangerous predators of their young. Maybe they really are smarter than us?
