Followed up by a story on greenies putting our lives in danger by sabotaging our shark nets. I smell a slow news day and spring/summer.

This has gotta be the finest shark hoax in a while, I mean check the fcuken clip out, it's not even very well edited.
Legit. Was out fishing that day when he called over radio "I've got a massive white shark swimming around the boat". We were a few kays south of Longy getting livebait.
Raced up there and missed the "Long Reef One" by five minutes. Bummer.
Cam was still buzzing when we pulled up next to him, saying, yep, "It was as big as my bloody boat!" And "It was as wide as my bloody boat too, I thought it was a whale at first". Still had his GoPro in his hand. He was fishing solo in a 17 foot Haines Hunter cuddy cabin. About 800 metres east nor east of Butter Box.
Interesting that the water at Longy was 19.1C and clear, clean, blue and running to the south, Dolphins, a few whales, terns and other true open ocean bird life around the Longy reef complex. Rising tide. But just east of The Gap the water had been just 17.2C and at North Head 18.2C.
We searched around Longy for a couple of hours while fishing trying to spot her.
Seems was a dinkum big mature female of five metres plus, not real common this close to shore and I reckon could possibly be the same big girl which has turned up at Longy in the past.

Another one? This one mightn't count though. He was 'old' and riding a ski.
They said he went out at Dawn every day.......But this attack happened around lunch time.....I think we can see his mistake here.

Maybe this is a new trend where the Sharks turn on the lame and old........ski riders.

It's true but eh..... Way moar likely to die on a pushy on Sydney roads than getting chomped. Doesn't quite get the news coverage though.

Are boats getting smaller? Are sharks getting bigger.?

This type of research is critical in stopping ppl in government agencies from having to get a real job to earn a living

Boo....for several hundred thousand of tax payers money could you lead a academic research team into this confronting issue ,please?
I got asked to do pretty much exactly that last year. But then the government remembered it doesn't fund environmental research so the job evaporated.

Could fongss please amend his catchy silhouette of the sharks perspective in confusion of potential food sources to include a 16 foot surf ski with the paddler having no arms or legs in contact with the water? This type of attack has happened in WA beaches too. Are those GWS really confusing a surf ski for a seal and turtle sandwich?
