Mick surfs memories of AI as Tassie diver killed

It is a bizarre life we live with such contrasts of luck, timing and mortality.

details now emerging on SMH web page. daughter witnessed father getting taken by GW...Mick just so lucky.

Will be interesting to see if the diver was wearing any shark deterrent to see if media hound Mick for further comment ...hope they just leave him alone.

That JBay fatality was in October 2013.

Today's Tassie fatality was the first in Tassie for 22 years. Puts perspective on the ongoing Tassie shark paranoia. Still, dreadful for the poor bloke who bought it and his daughter who witnessed.

Wouldn't surviving an encounter with a GWS give you virtual immunity from another attack? I mean what the odds of being attacked twice in a lifetime?

I dunno, Mick could end up being the Roy Sullivan of surfing

What's the difference between Elizabeth Warren & Kamala Harris?

One's pretending to be an Indian & the others pretending she isn't!

You know it's not going to be your day when you are attacked by a shark and while trying to paddle back to shore you get struck by lightning.
