Why do these people always get the midget to do their dirty work?

Well, luckily the outcome of my altercation with the shore break is that I don't need surgery but no surf for 4-6 weeks, s**t!. But on the positive side, jeez its amasing how much "stuff" you can get done & catch up on, when your not chasing waves! Wife is very happy..(I'd rather be chasing waves).
On the "competition takes over "side, couple weeks ago at Palmie on the Saturday, Longboard comp at Northern end AND a frikkin SUP comp at the Southern end, same day!! (in a McEnroe voice "you've got to be kidding") no, WAIT, there's more, the frikkin longboarders were back on the Sunday, all day, on the same break & yes best break both days. Man, it's the end of days I tell ya.

I get less done and in some ways I'm a bit of a cnunnt when I'm out of the water. I have more time but seem to get less done. I also feel like I can't clear my thoughts or focus on some tasks.

Dunno, when you get an early morning surf, good or bad, it just feels like you can start the day after that, and focus on what needs doing. Pre work surfs are the best, I can be busy for the whole 12 hours after a dawn patrol and feel better than if I don't, even though I'm up before 5am.
