That wave the women are surfing in Portugal is utter crap. Straight, rippy and junky every time I've watched it. Like a really bad version of Curly. Commentators even having a tough time talking it up.

the same turn over and over again and everything in between looks wrenched, underpowered, flappy and fking hideous.

Saw a guy about a week ago down the beach spinning his arms around like a windmill before going for a surf. I mean really spinning fast mimicking paddling. Now Ive seen some kooky warm up exercises over the years but since when do you need to warm up to paddle?

Portugal is on and looking horrible. Solid closeouts on a dead low tide with cross-shore winds. Halfway through first heat and noone has made a wave.
