So I bought a ticket to Bali instead, they don't have sharks there, leastways not ones that bite you (yeah, yeah, I know of the 2 bites, but thats 2, ever!). Leave Friday.Cranked wrote:I was thinking of going down to Margaret River but here's the shark sightings for the last 24 hours
Fcuk that.

Yes, plenty of bonzer opportunities up our way. It's a beautiful, complicated journey of fin size, composition and position but the rewards are there. Fast carves and swooping turns is what you can expect with good speed. Lacey's on a good day Is a most excellent testing ground. Having said that, a singly from Simon jones in the 6"8 range is also a Beautiful thing.Brian Brainwave wrote:foamy wrote:Yes, the thruster is the standard to which other boards are compared.
I was just thinking of how to summarise what to expect out of bonzer.
And no point getting one unless you have occasional access to walling, quick, semi-hollow to hollow waves in the waist to head high range. A bit silly choosing a bonzer for short-walled peaks or fat waves.
interesting ... I've probably surfed about 10-12 hours in the last week, and all of it was fast, hollow racetrack beachies in the shoulder to head high range on the sets.

Get some twinny's like the MR's in futures, and see if you can find some side bites from a 2+1 or longboard to use as the rears.Drailed wrote:buddy wrote:Drailed wrote:
I want go get some with a futures box which are aimilar. Upright large front and small rear. Running rasta set at the minute and I would like to try some with a bit less rake.

Because they might and you might buy them and love them. But then again they may not so you won't be buying them.
What are you looking for in your surfing by having fins with less rake? Upright fins with a shorter base might not make sense on a fish type board but it's your life.
Good luck with your quest.

On my last channel bottom, the shaper said no extra charge from me but the glasser adds $20 per channel!
