This place runs like most surf environments.....everyones a kook unless proven otherwise. That's why encouragement to get custom surf equipment is a joke. It's somewhat disembodied though in that it's how well people talk themselves up that rates.

see. that's what I always thought of them to be like. The impetuousness of youth always had me thinking those side bitey-bonzer fins are just training wheels for spacks, fatsos and people who used to kneeboard.
... but now as I mature and am ready to accept all manner of things like; same sex marriage, islam and artificial colouring and preservatives in everything – I'm thinking maybe those training wheels might be good?
Growing up is wonderful!
but please bonzer aficionados ... tell me about your bonzer surfing, and the lines one could expect to draw. what other benefits of riding a bonzer could i expect?

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.
Skipper
I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Can't get a bonzer as critical as a thruster but they seem faster and smoother under foot. I had one for a while. It's all about the back foot over the engine room. Fast. For me kinda like Daytona V8 with grunt while a thruster is like a F1 car. Never rode a small Bonzer in small waves, I reckon it looks unreal fun.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
The Bonzer is not a semi-thruster, it is an enhanced single fin.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
Yeh get all that but it's probably pertinent to compare against a thruster rather than singles, quads and 2+1 don't you think?
Re: Just general surfing stuff
Yes, the thruster is the standard to which other boards are compared.
I was just thinking of how to summarise what to expect out of bonzer.
And no point getting one unless you have occasional access to walling, quick, semi-hollow to hollow waves in the waist to head high range. A bit silly choosing a bonzer for short-walled peaks or fat waves.

Well that was what I was on about with Realsurf Hard Core Surfer Of The Year. Who among us can present the most compelling and realistic picture of him or her self's hardcoreness through the year?Beanpole wrote:This place runs like most surf environments.....everyones a kook unless proven otherwise.
