Women’s final was a rip off. Alice was way better.
Agreed, that last wave was way over scored.

I watched a few seconds. Pretty dull. If it’s not done with hipster vibes, palm trees, Angus Stone soundtrack and a twiggy shaped girl in a brief bikini it’s easy to faze.

Not TV worthy I agree. Its the WSL version of kids with Downs outside the Ms Universe pageant holding signs saying “We are beautiful too”

Perfectly fine if you are into mals and it’s not like it’s fcuking prime time viewing. Fairly challenging conditions on a few days. I can imagine the main tour making it look like hard work on the earlier days.

They are beautiful, just like long boarders

Good longboarding in good waves is more aesthetic than some Pro flogging themselves to push their board into the most extreme position possible on a wave. Style is more important in longboarding comps.

Speaking of longboarding waves I saw YouTube footage of a packed left hander in Denmark. Looked like the Superbank crowd wise and made Crescent look like Jaws. Kooks on Mals everywhere.

I think it was aerials that killed my interest in pro surfing... it made it look like an athletics competition. Just because it's hard doesn't mean it's attractive surfing.

The Brazilians take it to its obvious conclusion. I really like watching Italo from a purely acrobatic perspective but it drives me crazy seeing everyone busting a gut on every turn and trying to pull an air when they could have got barreled instead.

Easy solution is world tour events in 6 foot plus critical waves only.
And then if there are airs still at least they’re not boring ones.

Oh dear, not this again.

Headline: Old man dislikes progression and complains about the good old days.

Good airs are incredible to watch.

Each to their own Yuke, I'm not going to say your perceptions are right or wrong, but they are not mine.
