Re: Remote car keys
bury your keys in a fresh steamer
whoever's willing to dig it out deserves it
whoever's willing to dig it out deserves it
Re: Remote car keys
Bury your keys near a beach sign and go surfing. Come back to find the sign has been moved. Get a mate to take you to the nearest shop that supplies metal detectors. Buy metal detector. Find keys on beach. Get in car. Take metal detector back and say it didn't work. Get money back.
Note: Don't try this in Forster as it's unlikely to work twice.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

A recently purchased 3-2 should do the trick.el rancho wrote:bury your keys in a fresh steamer

You like to shit in your steamer?
Re: Remote car keys
If you have a car with proximity keys, the key needs to be at least a metre away from anydoor or boot button otherwise anyone can just press your door button & open the car & start it. Buy a surf key & leave your proximity key under the bonnet near the passenger side headlight. Again leads to problems if your car is stolen & Insurance company asks where the key is.

Re: Remote car keys
How's the battery in your car?
Re: Remote car keys
Last year I hired some late model cars in France and the Renault had a thin wide gizmo that wouldn't fit into the surflock I travelled with while the other car didn't have a door keyhole at all - all electronic/no key. All I could do with Car # 1 was to stick the starter thingo above the wheel or take my wife with me when I went surfing; with car # 2 the starter gizmo fitted into the surflock, however when there were problems starting the car this also meant problems opening the door or even opening the bonnet.

Re: Remote car keys
Still curious about if you leave your key stashed in your car and use a non-electronic one to lock the door and go surfing will the insurance companies have grounds to deny a claim if the car is stolen using your key locked inside?
