If you are planning anything for the Q Bommie you may have to plan about a year ahead as this time of year swell will become really hard to come by.
The westerly winds come up really strong and its more likely that you would get a south swell down south! September to October is Pipe days.
There are always the exception to the rule but the first signs are the burst of NE'rs and the intensity of the sun starts to become more obvious.
Sun comes up at about 6:40am now and its really obvious with all these sunny days that we will get more W to NE winds.
Spring is on its way!
If you keep an eye on it you might jag a swell that makes the Bommie rise but it really needs some grunt to get it going and that usually happens around the early part of the year.
So you will all need to watch the "Virtual Bouys" or the "Wams" to be able to sync up.

Extra Long Range Forecast (for next week)moneyman wrote:probably. maybe 8-10ft dayOne Mile Point wrote:i was just wondering if any bodyboarders are going and how big r u guys gonna surf it?
The low off the North Coast will dominate the surf outlook for the rest of the week, and on the whole most locations should do quite well. It's still to early to be confident on wave heights, but as wind strengths are likely to exceed 35-40kts in close proximity to the coastline, there's a good chance for some areas to see solid 6-8'+ surf at the height of the swell. However, conditions will vary significantly throughout the state, and at this stage guidance suggests that Sydney may see favourable winds during this time frame as the low moves away from the coast. Next week's forecasts will have a little more on the outlook from this event
here it comes mm. your right of passage is coming to you. you dont even have to go on some journey to the top of a mountain or walk for days through a desert.
very convenient i must say
