If there was ever evidence needed, Fongss is at the bottom of the oceanic food chain.

There was a guy paddling around yesterday asking everyone if they were getting bitten by sea lice. Nup. Just him.
I wonder how they single out a victim?

I get singled out by mosquitos

Sea lice are copepods that, generally, parasatise fish. Fong, are you a fish?

I remember reading a study, a mosquito can smell, or at least sense a blood type. They are attracted to a certain blood type. My son gets hammered, while the rest of us walk around like Robert Duvall in apocalypse now ...

An abo book I recently finished reading had a convincing passage about kanagaroos and mosquitos.

The reason to kill them, is because the roos sniff, smell mozzies they catch and when they're ones that've bitten a blackfella, they turn and run. Smart, huh. Scientific design, repeat observation experiment too!

Is your son O Positive?

Not convinced that's it though. O+ accounts for about 40% of Australians. I can be in a reasonably large group and be the only one donating blood to mozzies. It would be highly unlikely I'm the only O+. Think it might be associated with radiant heat. I'm rarely cold and I'm slim. Again, it seems unlikely that it's just that. Maybe radiance coupled with O+ is it. Is your boy a toasty little fella?

Seems so according to him, I 'reviewed' :D the book in the book thread; they turn them over in their hands to sniff , if there's blackfella smell they run

Thats right the sea lice stinging Fongs baby scrotal sack are bits of jelly-fish tentacle with active nematocysts.
Not copepods as commonly thought.

I don't recall the fong stage as part of the life history of jellyfish

So let's get this straight. Has fong's ball sack been set upon by planula (larval stage) or the nematocysts of shed tentacles?

Hot water also works, fong. As hot as your tender little scrote can handle

Yeah, come to think of it my son does run warm. But then again, so do I ... And I rarely get hit, let alone slaughtered.

While your here, Braithy, how do you rate that C-Skins wettie you bought for Tassie? And the sizing, comparable to Rip Curl?

Mate, to be honest I didn't rate it. One season and she's leaking all over the place. Shoulder & arm seams, chest and back seams.

If I had the choice over, I'd head to dexter surf (online) and get a last season model rip curl 4/3 for about $299.

By the end of winter I was wearing my ripcurl dawnie 2/3 with a vest underneath and booties & hoodie, and could stay in the water longer than the cskins, and it wasn't one season old. Every duck dive I'd get a blast of southern ocean right through my grill.

I'm O+ and mossies don't like me.
They smash my wife and kids.
My wife is B+, can't remember what the kids are, but they are different.

Been told that it could have a bit to do with blood pressure, i.e. if you have higher blood pressure you tend to have more blood in your capillaries. I've got low pressure, wife has high.

People from cold climates tend to get smashed by our mossies. If my brother's Canadian girlfriend is with us we don't need repellent.

swvic - both larvae and broken tentacles.

The nematocysts thingies.

Hot water will denature the protein irritant in the stings fong. Will stop the itching.

If it happens again, stick your balls in a bucket of ice.

oh god now you will say you do that almost every day now aren't you
