Met him at the ceremony for the Lennox Surf reserve.

He was shy and friendly and very, very stoked to be there and be amongst his people.

He was accepted without judgement in his later years and embraced with all his foibles by the culture he helped create. That must have been a comfort for his mother.

He was a vulnerable genius. RIP MP.

We used to paddle in from the Pass when he came out, or watch from the side - then we would copy him. MP moved about the northern rivers like a wraith. God rest his soul.

Those who surfed with him, against him, photographed him, interviewed him or even just saw him surf know they witnessed something that will never be repeated, just an incredible unique individual with the energy of ten men.
RIP(yep he always did)MP

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Not a bad piece from Dell=boy.

Shame he couldn't have been so candid about AI.

That's crap Steve. DR rehashed an article that was written many years ago and in regards to being candid about AI. You also had a vehicle to report on the matter if you so desired.

DR was the first guy to put out the dengue fever BS Jimmy.

Now read this and tell me he didn't know just a tad more than that at the time.

http://www.watoday.com.au/opinion/socie ... 1t5yz.html

Reilly knew more than anyone about AI's drug problems and not only kept silent but actively propagated complete BS.
Not surprising I spose considering STAB was or is sponnoed by Bong.

Guess he's free to talk candidly about MP's drug problems though.
Funny that.
