I have to say, even though it sounds like his mum ate playdough in her first trimester, I much prefer Bobby's loud, outspoken opposition to the tour, as opposed to Dane's sulking and constant refusal to do contests.

those waves are actually pretty good...for long beach. friends rented a summer house there one year (it's the furthest beach you can directly get to on the train). never had a reason to take a board out. i was constantly having fights with the lifeguards -- they even sent a boat out to try and arrest me at one point.

the area is a really shitty place. it's no fire island or hamptons.

not exactly sure. none of them were brave enough to jump in the water and do the job. from what i could work out it was for swimming in the ocean without being able to touch the bottom.

the lifeguards would blow the whistle at us when the water got up to our nipples and tell us to come in. i suspect the local government may be legally responsible for drownings. also the lifeguards couldn't really swim, so there was injured national pride at our challenges for a race. it devolved into a real shit fight that lasted the whole summer.

Had someone do this to me when I was bodysurfing in California. A buddy and I had been catching little peelers, then using the rip to get back out. After about 40 minutes we caught our final waves to the beach, only to have a fat dude on a jetski beach the craft beside us and try and give us a ticket for swimming in a dangerous area?

WTF? He'd been watching us the whole time, then tried to book us on land?
Maybe he couldn't swim either?

We just pretended not to speak english and he pissed off quickly. Americans get uncomfortable around other languages.

Hi guys, I don't know why you are using a photo of a 15 year old girl from Manly in a forum about a mens comp in NY but I'm pretty sure it's not appropriate.

Sorry. No. If I found it offensive I'd take it down.
It's just a photo of a female surfing in slop.
This bod must have some inside knowledge of the shot to say what he does.

Sands the real question might be how you know it's a photo of an under age girl at Manly?

Do you know SurfinTurf?

Do you know how many under age girls are gathering around the NYC contest site right now?

looks like Bobby might be needing a job after that little rant. Why would anyone sponsor him now? Biting the hands that feed him. Seem to remember him slagging off about Taj Burrow at Bells even though he won the heat. Guys a tool.

Old timers correct me if i am wrong, but according to surfing folklore, there was a time when surfers didnt get a rats, spoke their minds and compromised nothing in the endless search for perfect waves.

Now the Dream Tour serves up a load of toilet water, and only Bobby has the balls to call it like it is.
