so does any board
That's reasonably correct, tell it to the person who asked whether my boards ever used their rails

You already have two pictures of one of my boards turning. Any time that a board is not heading at 90 degrees to the wave front it is turning, in fact boards turn most of the time when riding waves, including when going 'straight' in trim.
My boards are designed to turn with such ease that they don't make the typical moments of crisis and spray which you have become used to. Just like racing cars do their best without digging up the track or making smoke, so my boards turn without remarkable fuss.

Are you serious Roy? Trimming across the face of a wave can be construed as a turn? What about a bottom turn? What about a turn off the lip? I can't quite tell if you're serious.
Can you make a bottom turns with your boards, and lay them on one rail to do so?

iggy wrote:show a picture of the board cutting back or coming hard off the bottom and taking a steep climb line up the face and turning and releasing off the lip!
then i'll open my ears and eyes to your claim that your boards turn better than longboards and malibus!
until then, it's chewbacca stapled to a log going fast in a trim line on a 3 foot wave and nothing else..
You completely missed the point again, by defining turning in the usual accent based terms.
Try a little harder to comprehend what i've written before you reply, and then we'll have a better discussion. You don't have to like what i write but unless you understand it you'll keep on arguing with yourself inside the restrictive bubble of your own preconceptions ( or to be more correct, those imposed on you by the industry )

"" the nearest beach of any repute being Mt Maunganui. And Mt Maunganui, despite being home to an infamous artificial reef, could hardly be considered a surf mecca itself."
quote swellnet
now roy, how do u defend this
isn't a shaper and his designs only as good as the waves he gets try em in

Yeah that picture is gross.
The incidence of spurious troll arguments has increased so I suspect that drunkenness?hangovers/brain damage is the cause.
I'll get back to you all when you recover.. . try fish oil.

I said I wasn't the one to introduce the subject of wave height.

My boards are longboards, the ones you refer to are barely even longboards and turn poorly
your board suffer from too much nose rocker and create a lift and drag effect, and a flat rockered 10foot longboard would likely outrun your 20foot banana rockered boards)
longboards trim better than your boards
Absolute nonsense.
My boards regularly outrun flat rockered 10 footers, and you have completely failed to understand how the rockers on my boards work.
Typical flat rockered 10 foot malibus are very poor at turning while in trim, this affects their speed and wave making ability. That's just one of the reasons why they are such easy meat.

In a very small number of cases, yes. More generally though, it's a sign that points to the on-ramp of the Financial Ruination Freeway.
Can you give us a traffic report Roy?

Roy was the inspiration for the shortboard revolution and the movie Going Vertical!
