I had one of those peruvian Boz wetties. A back zip. The bit of velcro that goes under and holds the zipper up had to go through a plastic pulley thing and fold back on itself. Pretty much impossible to do by yourself. :)

Surfed the new Need.

It's a substantially more solid suit than the older version. All seams taped and sealed, tighter cuffs, different angle to the chest zip.
all told, a much warmer and more solid suit.

Also, much, ,much harder to get in and out of. It took me a good wrestle to get out if it.
Hopefully it'll soften up a bit.

Squeegees, wetsuits, condoms - basically anything with rubber is a problem for you.
Interesting.

I'm fine with condoms and soft plastic lures, or rubbers as they are colloquially known by some older gents.

I just fail to see why a wetsuit has to be made so hard to get in and out of.

The chest zips where the zip detaches at the end and there is a full pullover flap are much easier to get in and out of than the angled zippers. Not many seem to make them anymore.

it's a fundamental necessity to keep water out of it.

maybe for Iceland or Ireland.

It did keep water out, I'll give it that. Incredibly warm for a 2mm suit.

Definitely warmer than my Quik 3/2 steamer.

And it will until there is some way I can get back to the high-water point of wetsuit design and functionality; which was an O'Neill Gooru.

LS Spring, buttery rubber sealed seams. Bat wing, back zip.
Warm, flexible and easy as fcuk to get in and out of.

Sadly, now extinct.

I haven't put on a wetsuit for nearly three years now :-D-:

Lately I've been wearing a long sleeved rashy though, and they can be hard to get into and out of sometimes.

My ONeill thermal rashie would be one of the best bits of surf gear I've owned.

No, I'm feeling the cold. The seal around the ankles is a bit loose, bit like any ageing orifice.
Want a patagonia 3/2? worn once, very warm! Size large but its more of a bigger medium.

Absolute quality suit but just a bit too small for me.

$225.
