Beer won't test it fully, you need to sit in the urinal after it flushes. That'll test the seams for seepage.

Got a 2 mm ebomb where the knee patch has come away from the thigh panel, any suggestions for best way to fix it... just sew itback with regular cotton or do I need to use a special waterproof thread??

Doesnt need to be liquid taped or anything and can't be arsed sending it back to get done.

Scored an O'Neill Psycho 2 back zip from the Narrabeen Vinnies for $50 today. Perfect fit & appears hardly worn. All the seals look immaculate, feels warm as but I won't be testing it out for quite a while yet.

Boz wetsuits from Peru. I found them while looking for something that delivered longevity. I've had the steamer for one season, the spring suit for 6 months and I've just ordered the jacket.

You just email Harry directly who'll usually drop your package off at the post office that very arvo.

The Buell was very...buttery, as they say, but it fell apart in less than a season and, as you know, Steve, I don't get in as much as I used to. What's left of it is baggy and I continually snip the arms and legs shorter to serve as a kind of inbetweener. It belongs in the bin.

I have not seen a review of a wetsuit that addresses longevity, probably because by the time longevity can be tested, the big blokes have moved on to next season's suits.

Boz seemed to really focus on longevity, so I gave them a go. The suit is not quite as soft and buttery as the Buell, but it's still a very comfortable suit to wear and, more importantly, it's lasting exceptionally well. The Buell wasn't as warm as the Boz. In fact, it felt more like a 2.5/1.5 rather than a 3/2 which may have accounted for its slight (and I emphasise slight) edge in softness.

That's why I've gone back for the spring suit, which is really soft and comfy, and now the jacket.

I've long being trying to avoid those arsehole price-gougers and it gives me immeasurable satisfaction to be able to put my money where my mouth is. I do not, and will not, buy Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Billabong or O'Neill.

Pretty happy with my Need Essentials. But fcuk me, it's not even nearly consistent with RC sizing. Could probably have gone a small instead of medium. RC 4/3 is a LS

There's been talk of my early(ish) career, young family, early mortgage mate grabbing it and me getting another. Truth be told, I will get a back zip (Need don't do 'em) which will cost some, but my shoulder is disintegrating. Getting into the chesty is ok. Getting out is becoming a serious issue

Where are people buying wetsuits these days for the right price? Looking for a LS Springsuit GBS 2mm and honestly not a lot of difference between some of the UK US sellers by the time you through in delivery and a low AUS$. Any advice? Some great looking suits around now but the LS spring is my preference for North Coast winter. Ebay is pretty full of mainly shops sellers these days as well.
