It looks like I will be offered a job in Coffs Harbour soonish, which means a return to the east coast for me.
I have surfed that part of the coast a little so am somewhat familiar with it.
Does anyone have suggestions as to the best places to live in the area.
Criteria is affordable, ie looking to buy somewhere there within 6 months or so (I'll be a 1st homebuyer so affordable is relative obviously), decent waves and up to a 30 minute travel time daily to work.

Re: Banana Coast-Where to Live
check out Emerald Beach, top little spot, like a little village feel about it...gets good waves too, plus not far north you have Arrawarra and Mulloway, Wollgoolga as well as several other little spots, I would be looking at Emerald if it was me moving there...I'm only 1 1/2 hrs north....
Re: Banana Coast-Where to Live
Lots of headlands north from Coffs. All the way to Angas.
Might start a petition to get a coast road run through all the way - that'd be good hey, Mark? (sorry)
Seriously - wonderful unspoiled country there Odap. You can spend your spare days exploring all the points in the national park

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Cheers lads, Mark I've surfed Emerald before and its a fun wave, plus a little protected in summer which is good and its just the right distance from Coffs as well, would be OK to rent but property seems a little exxy
I also like the Sawtell area as well and have scored good waves there as well so am considering that. Also anyone have comments on Sandy Beach?
SS and Mark, thanks for the heads up on the national park, camped at Yuragir before (near one of the lakes) and its a beautiful spot. I will make sure I never head up there for a surf I'll just keep on truckin' straigh to Angas-and look you up Mark
Ads, national park non surf trip invite ready and waiting-if I have the time when I move I'll catch up in the big smoke with ya as well if time frames work.
