Im with Monkey Bede was short changed bad. He was surfing really fast and on point and looked better than earlier in the event. His 1st wave should of been at least in the mid range 7's (If kelly did the same thing on that wave he woulda got a 9.) Bedes other best wave 7.7 should of been in the mid 8's. While danes waves were way overscored his 9 point whateva should of been more like a low 8 or high 7.

Poor bede sure his style isnt the greatest but he gets a hard wrap sometimes.

What do you fellas reckon about the wave that Bede caught halfway through the heat. Only did two moves, a committed tail throw thing and a carving 360. Good size wave, didn't fall off, but copped a 3.5.

Wasn't even a back-up score.

I reckon I saw half a dozen or more attempted carving 360's, can't remember anyone making one. Plus I was under the impression that the judges were putting more emphasis on big moves and less on length of ride these days. Shoots that theory down.
