the many, many uses for surf wax

Post by Squidlips » Tue Jul 07, 2009 5:35 pm

I found myself scraping the surf wax off my board and using it to plug my ears from the bitterly cold wind at the weeknd.

Got me thinking at how versatile the good ol stick of wax is  ...

made fishing lures out of it, by molding it around the hook

used it for temporary didge mouth peices

once used 2 blocks of palmers to seal a leaking spa in lombok so me and the misses could enjoy some fizzy action :!:

what other uses have you found for the humble bar of wax?

I've had a piece of wax covering a hole on my car headlight for a few years now. Mrs Palmers or something similar. works good.

Whack a cake of sexwax in your clothes drawers for sweet smelling clothes!

Goes great dripped liberally on nipples after being thoroughly heated.

i have one in my undies/socks draw. smell was a secondary consideration -- it's the top draw and easiest to grab.

a visiting canadian friend told me they use to use sexwax for skateboarding to wax up rails and curbs for grinding, or whatever it's called.

Hope you have a spare.

(You do mean waxing your key to your board dont you?)
Wish could wax key to board, now there's a thought to make them stick, probably would be okay jammed into a finbox  .

no I meant any keys, and no, it's not a good idea, too much is not a good thing, thought my BiLock wasn't going to come out

SA rep for Stick It told me last week, no word of a lie, that somewhere in the region of 30% of surfboard wax is bought as a fashion accesory. Kids use it in their hair because it smells nice and holds a do. :?

Repairs little dings (smaller than your pinky nail).
If it feels good, do it.
