A "Motza" (pics)

Post by Butts » Sun Apr 05, 2009 8:41 pm

Firstly, EXTERNAL image hosting can be used. It's back and working 8) :) (thanks don)
Secondly, I noticed most of you said in my last post that your just "surfing pic" sluts, so here are more than I would normally post.
Quality is a bit suspect, haven't shot from the land for ages, light was a bit hit and miss........
but you get the general feel for the conditions hopefully.

Whats the guy in 12 doing? A bottom turn woulda been a smarter move with a potentially far better outcome.

Yep, I'll have what he's having.

Annoying seeing half a photo and half a screen of blank white. Don I'm sure your advertisers would be better off if you could widen the portion of the screen incorporating the photos and reduce the portion with the ads on the right. Current set up just doesn't seem to make sense for viewer or advertiser.

oooooor yeah... nice. Geez who wouldn't look at that hungry lip in 7 and imagine themselves tucking in. :D 4 and of course 20 are crackers, but I also quite like the light in 17, the way the boil looks and the little puff of spray off the back of the wave.

same over here...
i'm thinking it's a combination of what browser you're running and the screen resolution setting...
i'm running both IE and FireFox browser with 1280x1024 screen settings and about 30% of the right hand side of the pics are chopped off...
is anyone out there running Google Chrome browser??
maybe that's the trick??
Nup,Google Chrome ain't the answer!

I'm seeing full pictures. I'm on IE 6 (a specific work program only runs on that) and screen set to 1280 x 1024. Hope that helps

<NERD STUFF>

I had a look at the page source and I think the biggest problems with the forums is the fact that the pages are laid out using DIVS and not TABLES. If you use tables you can control the amount of real-estate the columns take up a lot easier through percentages and absolute values.

Currently the links on the right column "More RealSurf Links" are placed under a DIV with a class id of "sidebar-links-menu". If you reduce the width of that DIV class that will enable the other columns (provided they aren't fixed width too) to consume more screen real-estate and render the pictures properly

Maybe all the images need to go into their own div rather than falling into the "content" div, or remove whatever in "content" is chopping them...most probably something with an exact pixel width rather than a percentage.

BTW Butts, the photos look great.

Lovely green, you know you're soaking in it!

Will have to play around with resolutions later. Would have thought I was already on 1280 by 1024

ST, here is the end. Chose the right option in my opinion

Rabbity7, nah he was just a little too late, the angle of the pic is deceiving.

As for those who can't see all the images, I'm trying to locate why :?
It seems to be something to do with each individual, as some can see all and some can't.
My work and home comps can see all :!:
1280x1024 - IE6 so nothing extra ordinary. :o
