Another good reason for not being on a SUP!!!

I wonder if you can send the hospital bills etc to the owner of the jet ski, plus a little on top for personal injury, aggravation, shock and pain. I would be tempted.

You are supposed to tie a little arm band thing to yourself which cuts the engine when / if you fall off.

yeah poor bloke ... but don't blame the jet ski , everyone knows there are jet ski's out there but like the experts quoted it is a one in a miliion chance of being hit by one out of control while paddling a SUP ... the last thing we want to see is jet ski's being hunted down , that SUP rider was in the natural environment of the jet ski so he must've known the risks ... besides there is no proof to support that the jet ski will hang around and run over another SUP , just because it found one SUP to run over doesn't mean it's out there looking for another one ...

does anyone know what type of jet ski it was ... a kawasharki :?:

well anyway lets all take a breath before we reach for our pitchforks and socket wrenchs and go after this poor defenseless jet ski ....

does anyone know of any good books or scientific studies they could recomend on out of control jet ski's ... :?:

as i so cruelly learned at school, it only takes one person to spoil the fun for everyone.

do you think some type of incident like this will lead to a council or some organisation getting a large bill and pack of lawyers chasing them. which could then result in all councils (well, those with some water around) placing a blanket ban on jet skis to avoid the possibility of any such legal action?

What a load of rubbish. The guy would have just been to lazy to put it on when getting on the thing.

We can only hope so PP.

I'm praying for it, well not praying for it exactly, as that implies a certain attitude towards the possibility of a god being which I would not like to advocate, further ......
