Aloe Vera is good if you’re uncertain about hirudotherapy

Thanks mate.

Interesting reading about the science of wound healing- it's as much about re-establishing friendly microbial assemblages as about getting on top of the unfriendly bacteria.

I find it fascinating.

Does the average GP have much of a clue about it- no.

Steve reading up on microbiology while his leg turns purple.
Doctors….what would they know?
Definitely living in the right place for some aromatherapy and crystal healing.
Say Aloe to Vera for me GST.

GPs - jack of all trades, master of none.
Your average one anyhow.

I scraped my shin on a rock in the surf once. I did nothing special to it but it did take a long time to heal. Possibly a couple of months.

I jumped over a fence into long grass when I was 16. There was a star picket in that grass. It ground 50 mm of skin and shin bone. It was left in the picket all neatly consenteenered (spelling is incorrect) like an open door

Advice was to not surf, but you do. A few days later, a fin went through my wettie into my forearm. Very deep. Could see bone. I have a fish hook shaped scar and a hernia

My missus has got a V shaped scar on her shin from when she slipped down between two rocks up at Cape Tribulation in her twenties. Cut to the bone. Fast forward to today and she’s just getting over her second round of surgery on her foot from originally damage done in that accident.

True….still I would consult one about a wound like that rather than reading about microbiology.
Of course if you’re a Gentleman Biologist you should be able to double as a medical expert.

Any chance you could stop the sniping on Steve? He's clearly got you blocked. He's not seeing it. You're doing it in every thread. Time to get over it. It's very tedious.

It's a bizarre phenomenon- every single post I make, there's beanpole coming to throw his 2 cents in.

You do meet people like that in real life, insufferable bores who will just keep chugging away long after people have made it crystal clear they are not interested. Thankfully I don't have anyone like that in my work or family life.

Anyhow, whatevers- I saved myself the precious time of having to read it.

I cleansed with clove oil and changed to a different type of Manuka honey and I'm getting a much better epithelial response.
cheers gents.

I'll be back in the water for this upcoming E swell.

I wonder if hydrolysed collagen supplementation would assist skin regeneration.

2023 meta-analysis showing favourable results in skin hydration and elasticity.

Also promising signs for osteoarthritis management

and possibly tendon repair

All structures highly composed of collagen
