Mid-arvo DY. Peaky, light onshore, chest-high fun with a small crowd.

Punchy 3-4 foot hitting Maroubra. South to mid mostly shutting down hard on the inshore bank. North end had less punch but more shape with some runs. Watched josh ku load up a driving bottom turn then peel the top off a chunky four foot set.

Yeah the north end needs to sort itself out a bit. That deep hole ain’t doing it any favours. South end is what it is. Has it’s moments.

Hypto Krypto snapped at Bronte....boards flying everywhere. Guy took the drop on a big one standing up on the rescue board. Goofy foot. Went okay then got smashed and lost the board. Went back out and lost it again n the way out. A lot of water moving. Pretty crap.

Late session at mid-south end. Water moving everywhere. Hard work scratching into them. Frustrating. Only managed to get one. Sets double overhead plus with heaps of grunt.

I'm not surfing at the moment however, I went for a walk from long reef to DY it was clean and about 3ft and just occasionally one hit the bank right and it looked ok

Some interesting banter going on over late yesterday’s short lived but intense spike in swell. It caught everyone out.

http://www.swellnet.com/reports/forecas ... i-peaky-ne

Biggest swell ive seen hit maroubra since June 6 2016. Solid eight foot and bigger. paddled out at the north end and was lucky to make it out. It was relentless. Got pulped on the outer bank then got spat wide and made it out during a lull.

Having seen the size of the surf in the morning the only board I had packed was a 6’0.

Gita continues to be a mind-fcuker.

It's straight onshore and 3ft horrible junk here.
