The traffic on the GC hwy has been horrendous as has the parking. I blame ER for posting a photo of herself at Kirra yesterday. It's Cloudbreak gate all over again Shaun.

Also there has been an overload of flights coming into Cooly. Most bookings have been made by guys called Bruce from Darlinghurst who have heard about the impressive member on an impressive member of RS from Currumbin.

Having just dissed singles in the McCoy thread you have me wondering how one of these would go:

There's a 6'6" in my LBS, been there for 6 mths, he'll never sell it I reckon, and I'm probably dumb enough to try it

It'll probably only go good if you wear a button up shirt with all the buttons undone while you're surfing. And draw some hideously ugly drawing on it before you surf it.

If you took it with you to Indo it'd probably go sweet, wouldn't it??. I've really only surfed longboards and mid lengths as singles. I reckon they're great.

Four foot of thick onshore vomit piling in hard and fast. Got three waves only. Lefthanders that were late almost launching take offs into speed runs that felt like riding a shopping trolley down a flight of stairs. Only one other punter out so can't complain. The shore dump coming in was a brown swirling gnarly mess.

Yeah, that's what they were/are. Wasn't correcting you. If a surfing dictionary listed flutes, your description would be more than adequate

Chip on shoulder seems recent and a little tardy. Wonder if Shaun calls them flutes

Yeah, I know. Just pushing

Had a short double flyer square tail with little concs in the flyers in 1979. Only one I recall him shaping

so many people commenting on it when I surf it or carry it up the beach.
easy entry, handles late drops, deepest bottom turns I can muster, still turns easily and fast fast fast - never surfed a board like it

Image
Looks just like a board I bought off Peter Drouyn in the late 70's
Yes he called them flutes back then
El, for some one who hates baby boomers with a passion, you certainly do like riding the boards they designed, why?
