Haven't surfed Hatchy's for a long time, since last lockdown. Welcome back to the hood

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

Northern Illawarra beach break. on the early. punchy head high peaks. Spreading bat flu with reckless abandon

Had a shitty crowded surf. Wasn’t really in the mood for the crowds. Caught one wave in and gave it a miss. Nice morning.

Had one of those surfs where it all comes together, nailed a perfect (in my eyes) layback snap. Still replaying it over in my head.

Well I've been searching for Crabmeat along the eastern coast of Tassy, haven't spotted him or a living wombat yet ... the water is a balmy 12 degrees, the locals seem friendly enough and the waves are quite pleasant.

Ask him if you can get a snap of his surf report notes if you see him.

Body surf yesterday. The farm today, waist to head high range, clean as a whistle

Good call. It was a super fast swell, at dawn I paddled out to a couple of 3-4ft sets, by 8am they were gone.

Farm was the only spot worthwhile for a day trip. Another spot south of the gong was catching south swell, but also some cross-shore gale. It was surprisingly good, sat in close to shore, on this nice little right hand bank midway, rinse and repeat. Lots of clueless flotsam jetsam paddling around catching nothing

There was/is a place in Port Phillip Bay we surfed as kids. Worked best on a onshore/cross-shore gale. We called it the ….pit after her surname. Her given name was Gale. Gale had a rep for opening up

Now I feel like a cnut. Maybe that’s not the right word

First surf for a few days. Zippy little rights in between close outs. A few fun ones then a few drop ins and thought I would just paddle out wide and catch a left into shore. After waiting a while I scored a cracker of a set right through on the right. One of the only big ones that held up today. Stoked.
