Few fun clean chest high peelers on the 8ft single. When I saw the size and crowd wasnt gonna bother but its been a couple weeks since I surfed and well, I was there anyway.
85% of the crowd overweight middle aged blokes on under volumed shortboards waiting out the back for 1 or 2 set waves every 15 minutes.
Must have picked off 15 in an hour of the smaller inside ones which ran down the bank way better.

Really good session, frequent double overhead sets on the pushing tide. Got the screamer set wave of the day, 300m ride, people yelling "go, go, go" as I paddled for it - no way was I not going - a nice 10' ramp appeared at the last moment to ease the way in, just enough to get some speed up and then off down the line.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

    On which board
    Hahaha.

7' McCoy Surftech Nugget with Vector fins (hatchet rear). My all time favourite all round board.

I took lots of suicidal drops on the sets but at least everyone knew I'd go if I was paddling

Don’t. I was in maroubra anyway, so paddled out just for the sake of getting in the water.

Despite a not-so-good forecast the gods still created some good waves if you knew the right time and place
