Re: Where did you surf today ?
he's at the wave base. It's shot from above, like a cliff or a FCUKING drone.
oh I apparently burned 2228 kilojoules in the pool this morning, how big of a wave am I?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
i interpret that photo as a 6-foot wave.
solid 4 if i was in hawaii.

It's pretty deceiving, kinda looks like he is half way down it.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 11:39 amhe's at the wave base. It's shot from above, like a cliff or a FCUKING drone.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
He's a bit crouched, so I'm estimating his image is about 5', and I can fit at least 4 of that image between the flat at the base of the wave and the top of the wave. I don't know what the angle is or how far away the picture was taken, so its impossible to correct for that, so I'm still keeping a 20' face as my best estimate. You guys are welcome to your estimates.

I agree, his board is slightly below halfway up the face of the wave.Drailed wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 2:02 pmIt's pretty deceiving, kinda looks like he is half way down it.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 11:39 amhe's at the wave base. It's shot from above, like a cliff or a FCUKING drone.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Looks like a nice 6-8ft day at bells without the girth to scare any punters away.
That could be the elusive 7 footer.

Ah surfing. Pretty much the only sport where adult males will openly challenge each other like male lions on the Serengeti.
It really is a beautiful but stupid past time.

Sounds like a surf-off is brewing.
We need a neutral location.
Maldives is about halfway isn’t it?

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
