if you can’t get away during the week, then on the weekends get into the habit of an early rise. Like I said, drive twenty minutes
west, jump in the passenger seat, and we will make the most of whatever is happening south. I’ve got the Illawarra stretch mapped out pretty well.

Yes, practice borrowing someones watch and telling that person the time in power point.

Yeh same, I have "flexible" work hours. The thought of busing it into a city office sends shivers down my spine. I'd rather clean the toilets in a North Korean labour camp.

Been thinking about the surf this week. There were a lot of guys who weren't particularly successful on their HPSB when dropping into some of the faster later waves. I saw a lot of sitting around. It's probably no wonder as most surf pitchy beach break waves 90% of the time rather than lined up mini freight trains. Kinda interesting watching normally confident surfers get quite chosey

Fair point thuddo.

Saw a fair few guys this week who could have used a few extra inches.

As the panzer commander said to the milkmaid, of course.

See a lot of this, slaves to fashion. Despite the huge amount of choice, so many people riding boards that they just aren't good enough or fit enough to ride.

Speaking of. March yourself to the Sickness thread and post that review of the Shiva. Looking at a 6'4 and have a few questions.

Just from my own observation I think in the past coupla days it's not boards but waves. Lots of people just don't know what to do with higher quality waves. They're in the wrong spot a lot, and can't really see what the wave's doing, and semi panic.

BP doesn't miss.

A good park in the cutting, bam! it just turned up in front like a couch there waiting for me. slid up to the car in front-- backed in, juuuust got through the reverse section with my head only slightly turned. Full hook in, no look open parallel park.

Checked the surf from there- pumping!

it's boards and skill-set when the waves are pumping.

both are mostly under-cooked.

but proper step-ups can ameliorate the deficiencies in a sub-par skill set.

didn't see it so much this swell because it was comparatively user friendly but we had a solid swell in 2017 with 30 knot offshores. Lots and lots of Dads out there on FW's just getting annihilated.

Only because they stop people from trying to turn.
