scratch that 3-4' call. 4-5' with the odd bigger one, no wind, very very pretty indeed.

Re booties. I've gave up on them decades ago as I find my feet stick to the board too much.

I've been told though, that the secret is to just put a very thin film of wax on your board.

Does anyone agree?
I think the secret is don't fcuken wear them.

Yep. Cranking, out at a deep water rock shelf bommie on my awful 90's banged up 7'6", big and pretty was exactly what came to mind. Are we in for 7 days of this?!

@pirate, gotcha. Were you in the same neck of the woods this morning?

I thought this swell was going to be an overhyped let down but it's really going all out.

onshore 4-5ft here this morning with no sand.

Swellnet is breathlessly calling it a 9/10.

Fcuking joke.

Fk oath it is. And for tomorrow the planets look to be aligning for an outer bar spot that does a mighty fine impression of greenmount point.

Bit of a paddle out and sharky which keeps the crowds down, but well worth the reward.

think I’ll pack a thruster shorty and big ol’ 70’s single fin pintail and surf either depending on what mood I’m in.

I had a shit load of fun today on a 5'9.5" Webber, the Creature thing, deep two sided concave (I hesitate to call it a double concave 'cause it's built more like two single concaves side by side) with the double sunk deck profile.

It needs a bit of energy and curve but when those qualities are available it is as slick and carvy as they* say. I think at lower speeds it does not totally like rail to rail transfers, feels like the spine between the concave kind of catches a little bit, the water has to bumble past it. But when it's moving it just goes there in a nanosecond and really squeezes the turn, sharp and clean.

I am not totally sure about the value of the sunk deck but it's not a drawback. Maybe it's more the inside part as it rises up toward the stringer, allows you to feel the inner spine edge of the concave a bit.

Fascinating board, a lot to feel in it, really good tube rider.

Found the odd corner today. Nice to feel some juice under the board.

well snapper sure is pumping, but man! there is some special delivery kookery going on out there
Saw a clip yesterday which should have been titled "Occy drops in on everyone"
I’ve watched a couple of clips and noticed the same thing. He’s obviously gone blind in his left eye. Poor bugger.

I snagged a few. Sand isn’t great up here but there were a few at Kirra this morning.A wave where you get three barrels on one wave without having to pay $5000 to get there has gotta be worth something?

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Left reef south of the gong. 4-5 foot and pumping. Non stop turns all the way.

yeah lil bit smaller but still plenty of waves and still very pretty. I'm sure the prettiness will end with tonight's SE change but I don't reckon this swell will be done for quite a while.

I rode my 6'6" Desert Storm, god that thing really is almost cheating, such a magic Capet ride.
I was waiting on the back button and this thing came right in wedging in from the ENE, like a west peak.
It felt the bottom stood up and I scratched into it, then it hit deeper water filled up and hit the button properly and pitched right out.
I thought I was gone with the lip but I just got this straight up and down weightless, freefall, it felt as soft as a feather, a real rocket drop ......then I felt the fins and tail rail connect and I could drive out of the base of the wave.
so sweet.
