It had warmed up when I had a swim on Thurday arvo. Quite pleasant.

I'm still pretty stuffed after two weeks surfing that ran up until last week.

Worse today. Urgh.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just had a look. It's woeful.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
National Park again today. 3 hours. I'm stuffed. Last wave was almost 500 metres from the car park down to Little Cove. Went in via First Point and walked back to my car.
Pretty sure Bob Cooper was sitting just above the beach in a wheelchair.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

This arvo was fun. 2-3 foot classic wind swell conditions. Crumbling peaks with a tasty inside bowl. Plenty of room for turns.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
how crowded? big enough for a shortboard?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Crowd was pretty spread out. Mostly shortboards.First Point was a clusterfcuk as i paddled in. It cleaned up even more late morning and was well overhead.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yesterday was too small in the early morning, had a few mellow waves with half a dozen out late morning. By 3pm the swell had picked up to head and a half, a light offshore, and it was peeling off perfectly, dead low and no one out.
It was sectioning a bit fast, so I was pulling out after 20-30m, got frustrated and went for it but got slammed on the reef, heavy hit on my shoulder, then my backside for the second time around - just bruises and cuts though.
So I moved up the reef to where there was a bit more water.
There was four of us now, occasional double head high sets, a bit more water, and plenty of waves. The session went on for two hours, most waves 100 - 200m of super fast fun. Crowd hit ten and I'd had enough
Out at dawn today, same as the last session but with lots of bigger sets, 5 -10 surfers.
Lunch time surf was pretty crowded, 20 - 30, much bigger, a bit of chop on the faces. Fcuked up every wave I caught - too tired from the previous surfs, and from sprint paddling to avoid the close out sets rolling in. Went in after an hour and a half.
Don't think I've got the energy for the low tide, glassy sunset surf.
You can blame Marauding for this report.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
well I am having a shit load of fun in Sydney's chaotic NE windswell/groundswell mess, it really is super fun
Water is amazingly clear, did a downwind with the squad today from Whale Beach, we started by paddling straight out for a k and a half and you could see the bottom. Couldn't believe it.

Had a bit of fun on Monday.....swim on Tuesday......crappy surf on Wednesday.....chucked the board n and had a look at "the worst sculpture exhibition in the world" today. Pretty good as usual. Bought some stuff for dinner.....was going to go for a swim but decided to paddle out......got two long trimmers through the crowd and went in stoked.

Thats due to the unprecedented for October deep tradewind surge which has made the EAC go ballistic.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2017 7:23 pmwell I am having a shit load of fun in Sydney's chaotic NE windswell/groundswell mess, it really is super fun
