These GC women sapped your energy huh?

Surfed really fun loggin waves late yesterday arvo and a super fast but average beachie this morning on my old 5'9 quad that I shaped ages ago. Water was nice though. Dbah looked pretty good.

Couple tiger sharks swimming under surfers at the local spit the other day too

i've just been training on the paddleboard and heading out for a few downwinders out in the deep blue with all this great wind we've had. snapper to home is like surfing for 10k's.

my last 5 or 6 surfs were all in that last little swell a few weeks back and all of them up at the point near me. the people, drop ins and carnage all around made me miss being out deep where there's nobody. lol

maybe this is how the 'end' begins for me?

i do like the feeling of getting a good one from just off the rock and seeing the wall line up through the middle section and watching all the tea-baggers gape in wonderment

and the sheer terror in their eyes as you race down the line and they have no idea how they're going to not get run over. that's worth all the arse ache alone. haha

Took the mal out for a rare glide on the dribble. Still a wonderful experience.

The weakest half foot waves ever. Crap but glassy and empty and needed to get wet.

Surfed my little 5'4" JD and used it like a bodyboard on a few of them. Fun as but quite risky if you get too shallow. It's harder than a bodyboard and the fins are a hazard. Much better to gut slide on than the kids bodyboards lol

Good to get in the water anyway.

Left board at home, bodysurfed instead for the first time in years.

Body surfing on the Goldy is the shit.
Not only are the shore breaks tailor made for it, the water is warm and you can mow down any number of goggle eyed international tourists with sand up their arses.

North Steyne up towards Queensie early. Surf tiny but malable but the water was fantastic. Shame I had to come to work.
Al this is gold. "She didn't realise I was fairly high and spent much of the evening trying to figure out why a purple and orange cow wanted me to climb a tree."

DY, water nice, 1ft with the occasional 1.5 ft runner. Couple guys on Geto Heiro (?) long boards getting some fun ones. Think it's time.

To get a longboard? love the trim and glide of a longboard. Surfed one for a long stretch, loved it, til I got a sweet potato style board from JD. I'll definately get another longboard though. Being short and not really big, a low 8'er would be sweet.

Yeh, I was on a fish and enjoying it, but you forget how weak the surf gets in Sydney town. It just looked fun, but they could ride them, moving up and down the boards, nice faded turns on really small waves, navigating those big boys around foam into sections with ease. It would be fun learning that craft.
