Got a second surf in yesterday, change didn't come through till around 7pm, super clean swell with glassy clean offshore conditions , I t looks like from the amount of post here that you east coast boys aren't getting any joy.

I'd say on the whole, the east coast would get a lot more than gippsland (depending on where you're situated) in regards to tassie's buffering effect. or are you near mallacoota etc?

I go east and west, more near Port Albert. No more than an hour and a half from some of the best beachies in oz , yesterday i surfed the west coast, if I do go east I tend to give malacoota a miss as more chance of a wave a little further north.

I surfed red bluff beach a few months back. Near lakes entrance. Uninspiring castrated swell energy. Especially after being at Mornington and PI and further west .

Red Bluff is the most consistent and can get pretty good, but if it was my staple diet it would be a sad life.

Last couple of days 1-2 ft Curly, couple of ok banks with insipid water flowing over them.

Reluctantly went for the late. Had a lot of fun. Water just a little cool. Had an earlier swim. Body temp was feeling low.

I also reluctantly went for a late one, mainly to keep a mate company in a lonely line up, glad I did:) few 8 ft bombs on a rapidly dropping tide, good times. Staying over tonight see what's up in the morning.

Fun peakish waves around the northern beaches - much better than expected. And no crowds with everyone back at school and uni thank you

Was good around 10 as the tide had come in a bit.

East coast tassie. Waist high righthander running across a creek mouth sandbar. Pretty weak then the wind picked up and blew it to ribbons.

Looks like it has enormous potential though. A sleeping beauty.
