Mate, you’ve been peddling that line for years. The quote from Nick Carroll outing you as a fatty is below. We all saw it, we all know you’re a disgusting fat fuck but we accept you for who you are.

Ha we pulled up to a little right hander and a nearby resort boat was there. There was a bit of surf info exchanged and I wasn't paying much attention, watching the spot instead, when one of my crew nudged me and said "hey that guy wants to talk to you." sure enough it was Jimmy! We briefly shared the lineup at a slowish sorta left a day later. He is a large competent goofy foot. Good to meet you Jimmy!
😂😂 I guess anyone is large in Nick’s world but I have chosen the ad the “Ly ” and I’ll go to my grave with that one thank you very much. Because I know in my heart of hearts that I was absolutely ripping that day.
And anyone who knows me that whilst impressive, I’ve certainly never been called large. With my 5’9 and 73kg fighting weight I’m a formidable beast.

I know. 100% Nick. No question about it. I was a few feet away from him as I drove past. If I had found a park I would have fronted him.
I did see him there years ago. I was thinking he might have been there for Sculpture by the Sea. Isn’t his missus into visual art?
Surf definitely wasn’t worth it.
He wasn’t asking for a roofing contact.

“ If I had found a park I would have fronted him.”
Parking and Beanpole and avoiding Realsurf members seem to be fairly common themes.
I would definitely give Nick a roofing referral. I’m happy to meet any Realsurf members who don’t spend half their time on here laying shit on me and/or expounding radical political views. That does narrow it down a fair bit though.

I’ve seen you surf a couple of times now. You go good, much better style than Nick.

Sure you might not be charging 30 foot log cabins, but you don’t resemble an angry lil bricklayer either

While interesting at times it appears to me Nick Carroll is a complete narcissist, you must surf good to scare him into calling you “competent”

So a surf journalist with tickets on himself?
Someone who thinks he’s a bit better than everyone else with deeper insights into just about everything?
Sounds familiar. You may be on to something, Pants.

No sightings of Nick today.

I always found Nick to be helpful to whoever asked for advice, polite, and always enjoyed a laugh. Aussie tall poppy jazz is for the birds.

Absolutely, Offy.

Nick always gave more than he took.

His absence is a big loss.

Fcuking oath. Wouldn’t have dreamed of resorting to abusive putdowns, gaslighting and goal post shifting. Don’t think he ever blocked anyone.
A real straight shooter. Didn’t have tickets on himself. Was actually funny.

Came on to inflate his ego and be worshipped. Lots of psychological falls, he told, you listened. Stuff he’d never dream of saying to his surfing peers etc..his payment was his sharing minor celebratory with the dross of the surfing world. Normal surfers. Humility wasn’t his strong point. Little man syndrome.

He gave alright but, he could take.

You must have done a lot of reading and digesting in a short time then.
But hindsight reading is different to the lived experience on realsurf of interacting with others so if you weren't there at the time, while you are entitled to your opinion, it is hard to respect it.

Nobody's perfect. I enjoyed Nick's presence, and he IS way better than most of us. If it helped puff up his ego a little bit, big deal.
