Surfed at Bolinas today, it's a reef and sandbar break north of the bay.
A bit like the Pass, mostly beginners on big boards, but if you pick the right ones they hug the bank and have pretty decent shape.
Long, soft rides, some allowing a couple of turns.
Surfed for a couple of hours and my watch told me I paddled about 4kms.
Lots of big sharks in the area, I didn't see any today but I hung pretty close to the peak.

Yeah, the people on puddle jumpers are more succulent so the sharks sit on the end section and make a selection from the buffet.

When did this hanging your wettie off the rear vision mirror and driving around become a thing? Is it only in Byron?
I need a new wettie so keep it up ya dogs haven't bought a pair of boardies or a rashie for years - they're always falling off car roofs - when I'm out riding I always stop and check the size

That should be in the "Things other people have masturbated in" thread.

Rainy and cold but I drove down. Sun came out and the bank turned on for 45 minutes.
Started to drain too much after that but I must have caught 20
Stoked.
Skin Tests tomorrow so I might be out of action for a couple of weeks.

I'm back in Sydney for a few days...worker was putting up a "sewage overflow" warning sign at Bronte this morning when I ran past.

Yeah, Bronte and Tama are often more polluted than Malabar these days when it rains.

Good forecast for surf today so I rocked up and it was looking good with the swell OK rising, the wind offshore and dropping, and no one out. Thats happened a few times in the last week so the lack of other surfers was not on my mind... until a mate arrived and pointed out the whale carcass about 50m down the beach.

Scored some fun waves away from the pack until this goonty decided he wanted a piece of the action. No way would you sit anywhere near this guy. He surfs with his legs way apart and his arms fully extended and swings them back and forth to make his board turn in a rudimentary fashion. He was taking off on some dredgers and getting belted on the take off. Fun to watch.

I pray not.
This guy wears a khaki surf hat with a legionnaires flap on the back and rides a khaki softech minimal.
His technique actually half works to some extent on a larger wave. He can get up a reasonable amount of speed.
Goes full starfish if the wave slows down though. Paddles furiously.

Had an amazing surf Sat morning at rainforest clad cove. Perfect Bluewater peaks, no one out. No-one on the beach.
It was so nice, I surfed it nude, which was fine for a hr or so.
No leggy required either.
Then a late at the Point with my son, 2 kooks out: a bloke from South Wales and a chick from London. It was small and easy to get off the rocks onto dry sand.
Another really fun surf Sun with light crowds.
Mostly rode the Bonzer Octafish.
