You want crowded..its been a week or more of 300 on the southern Goldy...im sure you've seen the plethora of vids. And now the second tier surf show is in town....
Makes for good viewing ...but just increases the number of entitled ones that think they deserve the right to surf ...regardless of whom maybe inside or waiting their turn:(

Rennies yesterday. Comp on went down to Racecourse. Jagged what must have been a head high 150-200 metre walled up spec’.

I self hooted, a crime to be sure, it didn’t matter there was no one to dodge or hear my squealing. Drove back home through farmland as the sunset, few still bringing cattle in. Old FWD that smells like a canvas tent, puffing along the potholed roads with boards rattling around in the back making a racket over the muffled AM radio. Cold by the time I landed home.

Had 2¼ hours at the spot north of my local point. Light offshore head high perfection.
Once all the Dicky Beach clubbies pissed off on their paddle boards.

Nah, thought about hitting The Bra but couldn’t be arsed. Yesterday would have been a better proposition. Spending an hour in the car for a mediocre surf doesn’t appeal…….unless you are Cletus. He thrives on long drives.

Yep, too big yesterday for me but back to much more manageable waves today.

don't have the car this week. so couldn't get over to racecourse to catch pants on fire.
but rode the bike over to the local reef on Monday. half a dozen out. things weren't lining up that well. but got a few long long rides.
yesterday went for a run before breakfast and saw the beach with solid ultra clean, occasionally barreling waves. four others out, getting the better of the waves. but as people went in I managed to get a few. eventually had the place to myself, but with a river mouth around the corner and a deserted beach i felt a little uncomfortable and went in, only to find out in the parking lot that the very fickle river mouth was on. but too exhausted by that stage, and still had to ride home.

One of those classic Victorian Autumn days yesterday. Consistent 4ft SW swell. Several in each set. Light NW wind all day. Rising tide. Clear sunny sky but cold. Bugger all people around (relatively speaking) and all the reefs firing so spread out.

Swvic and Buddy will know the type of day. Magic.
