Well I don’t know exactly what and where the problem is.
But sometimes there’s just a pain that is not necessarily related to any tissue damage.

Like you know how sometimes you go for a run and then your foot feels jammed and your ankle starts aching but you didn’t do anything wrong?
And then you move it around a bit and it’s ok or you go for a run the next day and it’s just gone.

It’s the board I’ve been wanting for a long time.

Waxed up an paddled out, beautifully balanced, low rocker and the beak nose meant I was paddling past all but the mals.

Probs head high and light side/onshore, good shape. 1st wave was a shoulder high right, nice high line to carve. The speed was so good, probably the low rocker but less pumps needed but has that glide. I’ve never felt so comfortable on a board after the first wave.
A few average lefts, it appears to not love a flatter faced wave and was hammering along the line on the bowlier rights.

Highlight was an overhead right, got in early and stayed high with a ton of speed the whole way.

Rippers would probably not love this board, not as forgiving as a thruster if you get lazy with your rails on turns and certainly not as loose, but I love it.

Out at dawn. Oily glassy peaks. Waist high with the odd bigger set. Bit gutless but pretty consistent. Only four out the whole time spread across about 100 metres. Nice start to the year.

Entrance to the beach car park was gridlocked right around the roundabout. Dodged that, pulled a sneaky park andsnuck out for a quick couple up the top. Nice conditions and good for the hangover.

went south to the next river catchment and scored some fluffy longboard point surf.

Lot of long rides, then snorkelling in the river.

I managed to wade the flats for a decent flathead.

Noice start to 2023.
