it's slowly dribbling back in.
very thin though and lacking volume.
much like the hair on Nick Carrolls head just before he went bald.

I don't have any Surftech McCoys, three are poly and one is epoxy with a double stringer. The set waves had 10' faces, with chop and huge steps. The steps had me airborne half a dozen times at least over a 200m ride - it was crazy stuff, I can't believe that I managed to stay on my board (it was a 7'4)Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 6:28 pmIt's probably because the design is so essentially unresponsive, it just sits there and the chop hits it to no avail.
The Surftech materials are good at faking responsiveness so the poor thing was forced to twitch and bounce around like a horse with batteries in the saddle. But it was still basically a dead horse.
Anyway! Hectic fun on a couple of drainy banks this arvo in this weird, quivery swell. I think we could do with a coast buster right now and Sydney might just be about to get one.

A wind surfer would have been ideal in those conditions, just use the ledge to launch a big 20' air down the line of the face.

Fccckn Easterly been blowing hard here last few days, shame as there are a couple decent banks around. Might try again on the higher tide later.

Had a goof around on a foamy up the Nth End. Clubbie on the JetSki obviously didn't have much to do so hung around a pack of kooks on foamies to make sure they didn't stray within 300mtrs of the flagged area. Considering everyone was going right away from the flags this was a bit of overkill. I was going to paddle down south on the way in but that didn't look like a good idea. Saw one really good left come through as I was walking up to the car.

Was fun, bailed when I saw Steve and 10 others lining up to paddle out at once.

Nah, haha.
I had an easy rock off. Your son had just jumped while I caught my wave in and you were still standing.

Finally the SE wind dropped off so nice conditions on the NBs. Worth surfing amongst the crowds.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
