Re: Where did you surf today ?
If it goes ahead, it would be Shearers civic duty to report the living fuck out of it.
The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.

I’m seeing a Mint 400 scenario with Carroll travelling up to report it with..........
I was going to say with a boot full of ether but, it actually may be a boot full of buttons.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I was beyond gobsmacked at the council meeting and to see so many of my fellow surfers showing up.
I feel so fucking good right now I can't describe it.

So what happened? Obviously not happening but can you please give some more detail Stephen?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
So the council recommendation was for it but they voted against it?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
ok so the council staff rec was for it. One councillor set up a motion to reject the recommendation. A bunch of councillors spoke, two were against the rejection, the rest were for. the motion went to a vote and the council voted to reject.
Looking on it struck me that some councillors were pretty specious in their speaking to reject, they were smelling the wind more than anything. Others made a lot of sense, it was all a bit too quick and not enough time was available to consider it properly especially at such a busy time of year.
One of the councillors who spoke for the rec made a good point I thought, that rejecting it robbed kids of a chance to meet their surfing heroes etc, kids don't really have a voice in these things, it's all about older surfers trying to mark their territory. another made the cold point that crowds at Lennox were part of the area's future seeing as how there's 800housing lots awaiting development right now, so "you ain't seen nothing yet". But the rejections easily won the day, lots of cheers. I did wonder if the painter guy who rolled "Fcuk WSL" was more representative of the local surfer sentiment.
WSL is just gonna shift their attention to other NSW locations.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
With median house prices in Lennox at 1mil per year and units not far behind, I think if the kids want to meet their ‘surf heroes’ then a 55min drive up the road to snapper won’t be that big an ask of mum and dad.
